The Truest Form of Intelligence is Compassion

Dear Friend,

As another year draws to a close, we find ourselves standing at the edge of two worlds: one increasingly defined by artificial intelligence, algorithms, and virtual experiences... and another, quieter world still pulsing with the breath of living beings, the rustle of leaves, and the warmth of a horse’s muzzle resting in your hand.

At Animals as Natural Therapy, we know which world sustains us.

Here, we gather not around screens, but around stories. We listen. Not for the next notification, but for the heartbeat of a child calming beside a horse, for the sigh of an elder united with a gentle bunny or cat, for the laughter that comes when connection feels real again.

In a time when so much is synthetic, our work is profoundly natural. It reminds us that healing, growth, and wisdom are rooted in presence. Rooted in the sacred, sensory education of being outdoors, in relationship, in truth. When young people learn to trust again, when veterans find peace in an animal’s steady gaze, when a dying patient feels seen and cherished, we are all reminded what it means to be human.

As we look to the coming year, your support keeps this grounding work alive. Your gift ensures that our therapy animals continue to walk beside those who need them most, bringing comfort, courage, and calm in a world that often feels too fast and too artificial.

This season, we invite you to give not just to a program, but to a promise:

That we will stay rooted in the real.

That we will honor the sacredness of life.

That we will keep teaching, through animals and nature, what it means to be present.

With gratitude and hope,

Jaime Arnett
